Thai AirAsia Restores Suspended Routes for Winter High Season
Thai AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X have restored 10 international routes that were suspended earlier in 2026, when a sharp rise in jet fuel prices forced the carriers to cut frequencies and pause some services. The restorations build out a combined winter network of 53 routes to 46 cities operating from Don Mueang Airport.
Six of the restored routes connect Bangkok with India, expanding the carriers’ Indian network to 11 cities. Don Mueang–Kuala Lumpur and Phuket–Siem Reap both resumed on October 25. On the Japan side, Thai AirAsia X brought back Sapporo service on October 1 — initially up to four flights a week, rising to as many as seven from December 1 — and resumed Nagoya flights on October 2 at four times weekly.
The restorations mean travellers who found routes suspended or reduced over the summer should recheck current schedules: several services that were cut are now running again or are due to scale up further heading into the December high season.
