Air India Express Opens New Visakhapatnam-Bangkok Route

Air India Express has launched a new direct route between Visakhapatnam, on India’s eastern coast, and Bangkok. The inaugural flight, IX0904, landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport on October 27, 2026, with the Tourism Authority of Thailand on hand to mark the occasion alongside airline staff.

The service runs twice weekly as part of the airline’s 2026-2027 winter schedule. The outbound flight departs Visakhapatnam at 11:35 and lands in Bangkok at 16:00 local time; the return leg, IX0903, departs Bangkok at 02:10 and arrives in Visakhapatnam at 03:55.

For travellers from eastern India, the route removes the need to connect through a larger Indian hub such as Chennai or Kolkata to reach Thailand. Exact operating days were not given in the announcement, so anyone booking should confirm the current schedule directly with Air India Express.
