Kuwait Airways Launches Twice-Weekly Direct Flights to Phuket
Cities:Phuket
Kuwait Airways has opened a new non-stop route between Kuwait City and Phuket, with the inaugural flight landing on October 27, 2026. The Tourism Authority of Thailand confirmed the service runs twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using a 278-seat Airbus A330-900neo.
The new route adds roughly 556 inbound seats a week to Phuket and brings Kuwait Airways’ total weekly flights into Thailand to eight, alongside its existing six-times-weekly Kuwait–Bangkok service. TAT said the addition lifts the airline’s overall inbound capacity to Thailand by close to 28%.
Kuwait Airways has signalled it may add frequencies on the Phuket route during the December 2026 to February 2027 peak season, with plans to go up to four flights a week, though this is subject to final scheduling. For now, travellers from Kuwait and the wider Gulf region gain a direct option into Phuket without connecting through Bangkok or another hub.
