FAQ
Why show historical weather instead of a long-range forecast?
Weather forecasts are only reliable a couple of weeks out. For a trip you're planning months in advance, the most useful honest answer is what actually happened on those same calendar dates in past years — not a guess dressed up as a forecast.
Where does the historical data come from?
For Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai: Open-Meteo's Historical Weather API (ERA5 reanalysis). For the other places: Copernicus ERA5-Land, which is model data: by day it usually reads 1–3°C cooler than a weather station, and more in the mountains. See /data-sources for the full attribution.
When do I get an actual forecast for my dates?
Once your dates fall within Open-Meteo's forecast window (up to 16 days out), the forecast for your exact dates appears here alongside the historical comparison.
